Traditional Latin Mass returns to Kiln, MS (28FEB09)

Father Noone resumed the Saturday, 6:00 P.M. Latin Masses at Annunciation Catholic Church in Kiln, MS. Apparently, the Church has moved across the street to the former church gymnasium. The Novus Ordo parishioners outgrew the parish and moved into the larger renovated gymnasium which will now be permanent. The current set up makes the offering the Traditional Latin Mass a little ackward, though no more than at most Novus Ordo parishes.
Father Noone stated that he has the intention to continue the Traditional Latin Mass as before, that is, every Saturday at 6:00 P.M.

If you read past entries on this website, you will see that there are still problems that remain in order for a latin Mass community to truely develop in the Diocese of Biloxi. Namely, A sole priest, limited altar servers, Saturday vs. Sunday Mass, and limited attandance.

That said, please continue to pray for Father Noone as he remains the sole priest in the entire state of Mississippi who offers the Latin Mass.

I called the rectory a few weeks ago to confirm the time of the Latin Mass on sat and was told that it was at 5:30. the next day, I arrived at Annunciation church and no one was there it appeared abandoned. I was disappointed as I would like to attend even though it is a little out of the way. Fr. Noone was our parish priest for 12 years and much loved in our church (St. Charles Borromeo).
